Weggsphere: Ground-based Aerial Hoop
Ground based Aerial Hoop, also known as the “Weggsphere” was designed in 2005 by Meaghan Wegg, aerial artist with Cirque du Soleil. It showcases aerial hoop vocabulary and flexibility but needs no ceiling rigging, making it a wonderful solution for performance opportunities. Students will learn a short piece of choreography with transitions and tricks. Previous training in trapeze or lyra will be helpful, but not mandatory.
